Frankel’s 41-save shutout leads PWHL Boston previous Minnesota for back-to-back wins

Theresa Schafzahl and Gigi Marvin every scored a purpose and Aerin Frankel had her first profession shutout to assist Boston beat host Minnesota 2-0 Sunday.

Boston (6-4-2-0) has back-to-back wins following consecutive losses to New York and Ottawa final week. Frankel, who completed with a career-best 41 saves, has allowed one purpose with 70 saves in wins over Ottawa on Wednesday and Minnesota.

Schafzahl opening the scoring halfway by the second. Jamie Lee Rattray poked a cross forward to Susanna Tapani who dropped it to Schafzahl for the back-hand end with 11:21 left within the interval.

Marvin scored an empty-netter, her first profession purpose, to make it 2-0 within the closing seconds.

Minnesota (5-4-3-0) has scored only one purpose in back-to-back losses, together with a 2-1 defeat by the hands of Montreal final Sunday.
